Obedience Classes will start Jan 23 instead of Jan 16th.

Agility Competition Class at 1:30 PM on Sunday afternoons, weather permitting.

Exciting things happening at Best Friends Obedience this year. We have added some fun new things to our Level one Class and we are calling it "Living with Your Dog, Level One. "Everything that your dog needs to know to be easy to live with, plus all the basic obedience commands too.
Go to your bed, stand on your spot, rear end awareness, touch, Hello and don't jump on people, Go outs and more.
Leave it, is still there but we take it to the next level.
Hand signals are still there, polite walking leading to heeling and learning to sit at the curb.
Door manners, Crate manners, playing with toys for focus, its all there and more.

We have a New Level One Class (Living with your Dog) starting on February 26, 2018, Monday evenings at the National Guard Armory.

We have the advanced Rally workshop starting March 5, 2018, Monday nights at 8:15 PM. Sign up early, class size is limited.

Our Agility program is in progress on Catnip Hill road between Lexington and Nicholasville. During the winter, Competition Prep Agility class is held on Sundays, weather permitting. Be sure to check the website News Flash for weather-related cancellations. Classes for other levels of agility will resume in March 2018.
Plus, if your dog is ready to be certified as a Trick Dog, we can test you and get those new Titles on their way to your dog. Ask about making your dog a Titles Trick Dog, Novice, Intermediate or Advanced. Then onto Performance.
So much new stuff we can do with our dogs. See you soon, sign up early.

We are NOW TAKING OBEDIENCE REGISTRATIONS for our Living with your Dog, Level One Training Classes starting February 26, 2018 on Monday evenings at 7 PM. The classes will fill, so register early. Fill out a registration form and get it back to us.We look forward to seeing you and your dog soon. You can download a registration form off of the ABOUT OUR CLASSES page, look for the reg. form near the class description for the class for which you are wanting to take.

All Obedience Class Levels will start again March 13, Tuesdays. Also we will be offering Level One, Two and Three and Open and Utility class and the Puppy Socialization class. Register early.

*******AKC Rally Obedience is having a revamp with new signs in Advanced and Excellent and a new Masters Class. We will be offering an Advanced Rally Two class starting March 5, 2018, Monday nights at 8:15 PM which will cover these new signs and the Masters class. What fun. This class requires that you are already competing in Rally and understand the sport of Rally. This class is limited, so register early. ****

Our Agility classes schedule is posted for 2018. Please check the schedule page and register early!!! We offer INTRO classes and advanced classes, weave workshops and contact classes. Check the schedule and then fill out a registration form and get it back in, this will secure a spot for you! Class is limited, Register Early!!!


Agility practice will be every Saturday all spring, summer and fall, at 12:30pm until 1:30. Weather permitting. We will not be having Saturday Practice in January.

Saturday Agility Practice is open from 12:30-1:30 PM at All Creatures Inn, our agility field. Practice is $5 each or a Punch card giving you 5 practices for $20. Pick one up at your next practice to entitle you to the discount.

The Agility Competition Class is on Thursdays at 7 PM (6:30 PM after Labor Day). The Sunday Competition classes have moved to Thursdays, but will move back to Sundays in the Fall at 1:30 PM.

TRICKS Tricks and MORE TRICKS! Mary Ann is able to certify your dog in the new AKC Tricks Titles. Contact her to set this up. What fun. If your dogs already has a CGC it is even easier to get the Novice Title. But with a well trained Obedience dog, these trick titles are achievable pretty easily.
